Videography

Videography captures the day in motion — ceremony vows, speeches, and highlight-reel moments that photography alone can't.

Why it matters

Like photography, this is a one-shot deliverable with no redo — but unlike photography, many couples skip it and regret it later, or add it late once a photographer is already locked in.

When it should happen

Book alongside or shortly after the photographer, 9–12 months out, especially for a bundled package deal.

Questions to ask

• Is this a highlight reel only, or full ceremony/speech coverage too?
• Is drone footage included, and does the venue allow it?
• What's the turnaround time for the edited video?
• Do they coordinate with the photographer to avoid both crews blocking each other's shots?

Mistakes to avoid

• Booking video and photography from unrelated vendors without confirming they'll coordinate on the day.
• Not asking about drone footage permissions at the venue in advance.
• Assuming a 'highlight reel' includes full speech audio when it may not.

Worth knowing

Watch a full, recent wedding video from the videographer start to finish, not just their demo reel — demo reels are edited from their best days, not necessarily representative ones.
